About me
The Writer
As an American living in Bordeaux in France, I write about wine, food, travel, boats and lifestyle. I have written for over a dozen U.S. and international publications and in 2018 received an international award for wine writing (Parole di Vino, or Words of Wine) in Abruzzo, Italy. I regularly contribute to Forbes and have written for Wine Enthusiast Magazine, as well as the Telegraph newspaper of London, Food52, Malibu Magazine, International Living Magazine and Seahorse Magazine.
Before moving to Bordeaux I worked as an overseas consultant for environmental, engineering and infrastructure programs while living in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East. I have a master degree in civil engineering as well as an MBA and my last position was managing a quarter billion dollar infrastructure program (as well as 130 staff) in Pakistan.
In comparison, the wine and food world is a bit less stressed, and more fun.

The BOOKS
From recipes around the world to my travels and wine explorations, I’ve authored these books to share my experiences and take you along the journeys I’ve had through the years.
The Winemakers' cooking companion
My most recent book is a compilation of 125 recipes from winemakers and winery owners from 18 different countries. I am in the process of securing a publisher. A video about the project is below:

Vino Voices
A previous book I wrote is titled Vino Voices: Wine, Work, Life. To write it I spent three years traveling through a dozen countries interviewing winemakers about their profession.
I had the fortune to spend hours speaking with winemakers, vineyard ecologists, wine guides, cork producers and others who work in the world of wine.
The book includes thirty-six chapters, dozens of interviews, and roams through the world of wine. The book is published by my own publishing company, Roundwood Press.
