About T. Mullen

Hi—I'm Tom Mullen (author name T. Mullen), an American living in southern France. Since 2008 I have written about wine—initially with the Vino Voices blog and I also contributed hundreds of articles about wine, food, travel, sailing and lifestyle for Forbes over a period of nine years. I've also written for the Wine Enthusiast, Telegraph newspaper, Food52, Malibu Magazine, International Living, and other publications.

I moved to Bordeaux in France in 2014 and was part owner of a vineyard, then relocated to the Minervois region in southern France, near to the ancient city of Carcassonne.

Previously, with an MSc in civil engineering and an MBA, I spent decades working as an infrastructure director, engineering manager and environmental consultant in multiple countries within Central America, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East. These included Panama, Guatemala, Malawi, Namibia, Angola, Cameroon, Tanzania, Dubai in the UAE, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan and the Solomon Islands and others.
