About T. Mullen
Apero hour in southern France

Hi, I'm Tom Mullen (T. Mullen)—an American living in southern France. Since 2008 I've written about wine, food, travel, lifestyle and sailing—initially with an earlier version of this Vino Voices blog, as well as in over 400 articles I contributed to Forbes over a nine year period. I've also written for the Wine Enthusiast, Telegraph newspaper, Food52, Malibu Magazine, International Living, and other publications.

In 2014 I moved to Bordeaux and became part owner of a vineyard. Three years ago I relocated to the Minervois region in southern France, near the ancient city of Carcassonne.

I've published several fiction and non-fiction books, ALL of which will be republished this year in hardback, paperback and as updated ebooks. My latest is a cookbook with recipes from around the world—The Winemakers' Cooking Companion. Click here to read more about this book.

Previously I studied for an MSc in civil engineering and an MBA and spent decades working as an infrastructure director, engineering manager and environmental consultant for projects in multiple countries within Latin America, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Middle East (as well as in the USA and Europe). Countries I spent time working in included Panama, Guatemala, Malawi, Tanzania, Namibia, Angola, Cameroon, Tanzania, Dubai in the UAE, Oman, Philippines, Thailand, Pakistan, the Solomon Islands and others.
